The Academic Study Abroad Program (ASAP) for Undergraduate Students - 3 Quarters at the University of California is a highly intensive program that allows undergraduate students to study at UC for three quarters, deepening their knowledge in their selected field of study. This program encourages international interaction and cultural competence by immersing the students in the academic and social life in one of the top ranking universities in the world. Depending on the availability and the students' qualification, they may take courses in their major or explore new disciplines, which may not be available in their home universities. Along with studies, the program gives emphasis on practical learning experiences and involves the students in various hands-on projects, field studies, internships and engagements with leading industry professionals. The students also get opportunities to participate in a variety of student organizations and extra-curricular activities at UC which could help them experience the vibrant student life at a U.S. university.
