The Academic Study Abroad Program (ASAP) for Graduate Students - 1 Quarter program at the University of California is designed to give international grad students an immersive experience in the U.S. educational system. It is an intensive, short-term program lasting for one academic quarter, roughly akin to a semester in other systems. It allows students to earn credits in a variety of disciplines, focusing on classes in their chosen field. The program is highly competitive, accepting students from all over the world. It provides not just academic enrichment but also offers a wealth of cultural experiences, introducing students to American life and helping them improve their English proficiency. Students in the ASAP program have access to the same academic and student support resources as their US counterparts. Please note that details such as admission requirements, program costs, and specific courses may vary.
