The Bachelor of Science in Art Education prepares students to teach art at the elementary, middle and/or high school level or pursue careers with other agencies and institutions.
Students in the Art Education Program at Mississippi College begin with a strong foundation in drawing, design, and studio classes as they pursue courses in education. Surrounded by passionate and adept professors, students will learn through courses such as sculpture and ceramics, educational theory, directed teaching, drawing and painting, printmaking, aesthetics, and more.
The fun continues beyond the classroom, as students actively prepare for various career fields. Art education graduates not only teach K-12 art classes. Others pursue careers as museum educators, art curators, studio instructors, or even professional artists.
