From software engineering, computer security, networking and databases, and mobile apps, students are prepared to work in various areas of the computer industry to tackle the evolving world of computing.
Students in OSU’s ABET accredited computer science (CS) program learn programming skills, mathematical proficiency, data structures and theoretical foundations. CS electives include applied skills such as computing security, video game development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, software engineering, cloud computing and mobile app development to provide industry-ready skills. With foundational knowledge, students have the ability to adjust in this ever-changing industry and to work in many diverse pathways such as military branches, banking and finance, transportation, energy, retail, medical and software development.
