The Master of Science (MSc) Program in Physics at the University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli ” offers the opportunity to very able graduates to deepen their knowledge of physics. The course, entirely delivered in English, is strongly connected to the research activities performed at the Department of Mathematics and Physics.
For the admission, bachelor degree in physics or related field (mathematics, chemistry or engineering disciplines,..) is required, provided that students have a sufficiently strong physics and mathematics background.
The first year of the program is dedicated to consolidating fundamental knowledge in physics while exploring various areas of modern physics in depth. In the second year, the focus shifts predominantly to the master's thesis, allowing students to specialize in one of the several fields of advanced physics research. These fields encompass a broad range, from sub-nuclear physics to complex systems physics, including optics, environmental physics, and their applications in diverse disciplines such as biomedical science, aerospace, climatology, cultural heritage, and quantum computing .
